You're using this app at your own risk. Pay attention to your surroundings, don't rely on these feeds for life safety, remember streams are delayed, and
always follow your organization's best practices. If you have a physical scanner, use that instead if you can. In an emergency, call 911 — this app is
not a substitute.
Not an official government product
Angeles Intel is an independent app built by Landmark 717. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the U.S. Forest Service, the Angeles
National Forest, Los Angeles County, or any other agency. Incident, weather, camera, and map data comes from public and third-party sources, and nothing
shown here is an official communication from any agency.
Maps, trails, and roads
Trail, road, and landmark data shown on maps may be inaccurate, outdated, or no longer reflect current conditions. Many forest roads and trails are
closed, gated, seasonal, or hazardous. Verify conditions with the U.S. Forest Service, and check if a destination (e.g., a campground) is open before
visiting.
Transcripts and other machine-generated content
Some of what you see is produced by software, not by a person. Recording transcripts are written by speech-to-text. Links between a recording and an
incident are inferred. Communications plans, including channel names, are pulled out of transcripts by artificial intelligence rather than entered by
dispatch. All of it is wrong sometimes, and radio traffic dense with unit numbers, place names, and abbreviations is exactly what these systems get
wrong most often. Treat machine-generated content as a hint about what was said, never as a record of it, and confirm anything operational against the
audio or your own assignment before you act on it.
Audio, recordings, and transcripts
Audio streams, recordings, transcripts, and any text derived from them are provided for personal monitoring only — you may not re-broadcast, re-publish,
or commercially redistribute them. Recordings may contain personally identifiable information and sensitive communications; treat them accordingly.
Streams use data, and you are responsible for monitoring your data use with your carrier and/or ISPs.
Camera images, maps, and other third-party content
Live camera images and timelapse videos come from ALERTCalifornia and UC San Diego. Map data comes from Mapbox and its data providers. Forest, incident,
and weather data comes from public agency sources. That content remains subject to whatever terms its provider sets, and saving an image or a video to
your device does not give you the right to publish or sell it.
Acceptable use
Don't use the app to interfere with emergency operations, to impersonate an agency or a responder, or for any unlawful purpose. Don't scrape our feeds,
resell access to them, or build a competing service on them, and don't attempt to defeat any access control in the app or on our servers. If you verify
an agency account, you represent that the email address you used is yours and that you are authorized to use it. We may suspend or end access — yours
specifically, or a feature for everyone — at any time, including to comply with a request from a data or content provider.
Privacy
The app collects diagnostics, device identifiers, and a record of your agreement to these terms. How that data is handled is described in our privacy
policy at https://landmark717.com/apps-privacy-policy/.
No warranties, and limits on liability
The app is provided as-is with no warranties of any kind. In no event will Landmark 717 be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential
damages, or for amounts exceeding $50, arising from your use of the app. You agree to indemnify Landmark 717 against claims arising from your use of the
app or violation of these terms.
Changes, and the rest
We may update these terms. When we do, you'll see the new version the next time you open the app after updating, and continuing to use the app means you
accept it. If you don't agree to these terms, don't use the app — delete it. You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. If any part of these
terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These terms are governed by California law, and any disputes will be resolved in Los Angeles
County, California. By using the app, you agree to these terms.
